*shuffles feet*
So, I signed up for Twitter an eternity ago but have never actually used my account. I know--unforgivable, right? So today I decided it was definitely time for me to get it together and now I'm TWEETING!
I'm utterly clueless of course, a total newb. So any help, tips, friending, etc would be hugely appreciated!

Is it Twitterer or Tweeter? See, already I'm confused!
I didn't really understand Twitter at first but now I kind of love it. What I find most helpful is following a lot of different writers - they often link to great articles on writing that I've found really useful.
Hi!
I'm taking a bit of a twitter break but look for @inkyelbows . She has a 'guide to twitter for writers' or somesuch on her website. I'm @heleneboudreau
Happy tweeting!

You're braver than I am - I still think I'm super-cool just for blogging! ;-)

I'm LianaBrooks on Twitter and my best advice is find your support group there too. Using hashtags (#) makes a phrase searchable and lets you connect. Try #amwriting #amwritingparty #nanowrimo #writegoal #editgoal or #writing.
And watch for the agent and author interviews and chats. Twitter is a good way to follow agents and get involved with things like #kidlitchat with editors. There's also #pubtips and #askanagent.
Hey, Angela! Congrats on finally making it to the dark side! Bwahahahahaha! J/K
Anyhoo, if you want to be in the know about writerly things on twitter, follow @inkyelbows She retweets a lot of super interesting stuff, and following her tweets led me to a lot of the people I follow. She also has a post on her blog about a twitter how-to for writers, which I think is linked in her profile.
That's the best twitter advice I can give ya. :)
I jumped on the Twitter bandwagon last week and I'm still trying to figure it all out. I'd love to hear a few tips too!
I think it is Tweeter, but I'm not sure ;-)
Woot! Congrats on becoming an ACTIVE member of the Twitter-verse!
I think you'll love it...just jump in! It's a lot of fun, and it's a great information-sharing community, especially for writers, agents, editors, publishers, & bloggers. Feel free to check out the lists I have assembled, and you can follow some of my lists if you like; you don't have to re-invent the wheel!
My twitter name is katcop13.
Go for it!
See you on Twitter...I've already "followed" you!
Wow--thank you guys for all your help! Already I feel a little more savvy about the whole thing and love all the new friendship I'm finding on Twitter. Thanks for the great welcome & advice!
