It's taken me awhile to adjust to mommyhood, and the sleep deprivation is everything everyone said it would be (darn it), so my recent absence is likely to go on awhile longer. Just wanted to pop in and introduce everyone while I had a spare minute.
Introducing...Allegra Ivy
She's here! My daughter arrived on May 23rd at 11:03pm, after only 18 paltry hours of labor. 6 lbs 3 oz, 20 ¾" long. I don't know what the number 3 signifies, but I think it will figure largely into her future.

Oh, what a beauty! I love looking at newborns, and all of them are wonderful, though not necessarily beautiful. But yours really has a lovely, wise-looking face. Congratulations! Looking back on all my lost sleep, it was worth it. I'd never trade all those hours for the joy I've had raising my girls. (All the other stuff is easy enough to forget!)
